Our Mission and Vision Is To Equip women In Some Parts Of Uganda With Necessary Farming Skills, And funding When Possible.

Equipping women with agricultural skills and financial help is vital for building resilient, sustainable food systems.

Our mission is to support women to achieve their full potential; to encourage, enable and facilitate their active involvement in agricultural business, and community life. We seek to achieve this by harnessing the economic power of women and communities, promoting social inclusion, changing perceptions and influencing policy. We work to improve the health and prosperity of marginalised communities and their environments.

Women’s empowerment is an important part of SheRise Women Empowerment’s goal. However, to ensure that we can achieve this goal, it’s essential to understand that the struggles of different subgroups of women are spotlighted and acted on. This includes the difficulties of single young mothers and women with disabilities, who can face many forms of discrimination because of their gender and age any kind of disability.

SheRise encourages women in cash crop farming and poultry by providing finacial help and small start up loans, which are very significant for economic independence, food security, and community development through low-investment, high-return ventures. these financial help and loans are combined with non financial services like training, mentoring, and networking. Poultry farming allows women to earn daily income from egg sales, balancing work with family responsibilities. Our key empowerment strategies include training in vaccination, business management, and creating networks, which help women transition into entrepreneurs.

Poultry farming and Cash crops provides not only income but also enhances nutritional security for families by providing fresh food. SheRise women empowerment has helped some of our members to start Backyard Poultry Production and this demonstrated that these programs can directly empower thousands of women at the grassroots level.
